Basically, CNC machining pre-programs the speed and position of machine functions and runs them through software in repetitive, predictable cycles, all with little or no human operator involvement. Due to these capabilities, the process has been adopted in all corners of the manufacturing industry, especially in the field of metal and plastic production.
First, a 2D or 3D CAD drawing is conceived and then converted into computer code for execution by a CNC system. After the program is entered, the operator performs a test run to ensure that there are no errors in the coding.
