What is the difference between CNC machining plastic parts and machining metal parts?
Metal parts are relatively simple. After all, the more you do this kind of work, the more skilled you will be. Generally, if you have been working for a few years, you will definitely not get wet. The difference lies in the different metal grips. This is relatively easy to say. Plastic is easy to crack because of internal stress. In addition to controlling the speed of the knife, attention should also be paid to cooling, not just cooling down. Plastic has a certain temperature suitable for processing. If it is too low, it is easy to crack, deform, and the burr will hurt the corners. The most obvious one is acrylic. The corners are prone to cracking. If it is too high, the contact position will melt, wrap around the knife, and form adhesion. The machined surface will form a white "film" like thing. Can't wash off, can't wipe off. The surface is easily scratched. After all, the hardness is low. Generally, when buying raw materials for plates and bars, you need to pay attention to select the surface protective film that is complete and free of scratches. Surface selection is also very important when processing. It is necessary to confirm which surface is processed. Hold it where it is clamped, and where it cannot be clamped.
