The deformation of aluminium parts during CNC machining
The material of aluminum alloy parts has a large thermal expansion coefficient, so it is easy to deform during thin-wall processing. When using free forging blanks, the deformation problem is more prominent due to the large machining allowance
We know that there are many reasons for the deformation of aluminum alloy parts in cnc turning processing, mainly in the following aspects: deformation caused by internal stress of blank, cutting Deformation caused by heat, deformation caused by clamping force.
As a rich experience manufacturer in industrial machining, we have solutions by improve the structure of tools.
Following the tips:
Reduce the number of milling cutter teeth, increase the chip capacity. Due to the large cutting deformation during aluminum alloy processing, a large chip space is required, so the bottom radius of the chip groove should be large, and the number of teeth of the milling cutter should be small.
Finely grind teeth. Before using a new knife, we need to lightly sand the front and back of the blade teeth with a fine grindstone to remove the burrs and slight serration marks that remain when the blade is sharpened.
Strictly control tool wear standards. After the tool wears, the surface roughness of the product increases, and the deformation of the product increases with the increase of the cutting temperature. Therefore, in addition to selecting tool materials with good wear resistance, tool wear should also be strictly controlled.
When cutting, the temperature of the product should not be too high to prevent deformation
We have rich experience in cnc machining, grinding, milling, machining, stamping, sheet metal processing and surface treatment, please feel free to inquire.
